Matt Jelfs Photography is a photography portfolio website. For this design, I wanted to create something that was sleek, minimal and cool, and which also allowed the images to be the focal point of attention.
To achieve the classic look I was after, I knew we would be using either a plain white or black design. In this case I went for a dark-themed look, cognizant of the fact I know many people are starting to prefer dark websites because they put less strain on the eyes. It’s also a personal preference of my own, as I feel it offers a nicer viewing experience, particularly in the evening and at night.
